Description National law firm has an immediate opening for an IP Legal Secretary to join the a in Palo Alto, California! In this Legal Secretary role, you will provide essential support to patent prosecution attorneys by managing administrative tasks and ensuring timely and accurate preparation of patent-related documentation. If you have excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of patent prosecution processes, we encourage you to apply. This position requires full-time on-site in Palo Alto, CA. The ideal candidate will have 3-7+ years of experience supporting patent prosecution attorneys. Responsibilities: - Oversee calendar management for attorneys, ensuring deadlines and appointments are accurately scheduled. - Manage patent docketing systems to track key dates and filings. - Prepare and assist with the submission of patent prosecution documents to the USPTO. - Coordinate patent preparation tasks, including document formatting and proofreading. - Handle administrative duties, such as correspondence, record-keeping, and filing. - Facilitate communication with clients to address inquiries and provide updates on patent matters. - Ensure compliance with USPTO filing requirements and procedures. - Collaborate with attorneys to optimize workflow and meet critical deadlines. - Maintain organized and accessible records for patent applications and related documentation. Requirements Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal secretary, specifically in patent prosecution support roles. - Strong knowledge of patent prosecution and USPTO filing procedures. - Experience with patent docketing systems and document preparation. - Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
