Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Cabling Project Manager (PM) to oversee the installation and maintenance of network cabling systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and low voltage systems, with a focus on delivering high-quality results while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires excellent project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate network cabling projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
Oversee the installation of fiber optic and copper cabling, including fiber splicing and termination.
Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation of network systems.
Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards throughout all projects.
Provide technical support for telecommunication systems, including troubleshooting issues related to telephone and data services.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
Skills
Proficiency in fiber splicing techniques and equipment.
Strong understanding of schematics related to network cabling systems.
Experience using hand tools specific to cabling installations.
Knowledge of NEC regulations as they pertain to low voltage installations.
Ability to telecommunicate effectively with team members and clients.
Experience working with telephone systems and low voltage wiring.
Knowledge of Cisco routers and networking equipment is a plus.
Proficient in using an ohmmeter for testing cable integrity.
AutoCAD a plus.
