Employees have the opportunity to learn and volunteer on various water-related projects. + Employee Networks - Our Employee Networks provide a professional, supportive network for employees from diverse backgrounds, including Women's, LGBT+ and Allies, Veteran's, People of Color and Allies, Emerging Leaders, and Working Parents Networks. **The Role:** Smith-Blair, a Xylem Brand, seeks to hire a Production Line Worker to work in various manufacturing production roles such as assembly lines, machine operators, material handlers, fabricators, etc. **Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:** + Must be a team player that exhibits excellent communication/interpersonal skills; motivated to work in a highly participative environment and understand and believe in the Lean Manufacturing Principles (5's, single piece flow, KanBan, etc.). + Must have general overall knowledge of Smith-Blair's Saddle Fittings product manufacturing process. + Must be capable of manually assembling and packing full circle and pipe repair couplings. + Must be capable of operating manual and pneumatic hand tools. + Must be proficient at operations requiring continual eye-hand coordination for manual repetitive operations to correctly assemble parts to meet established standards. + Willing to learn all skills within the steel fabrication manufacturing work cell. + Capable of working extended hours to meet customer demands. + May be required to rotate to other job functions within the same labor grade as directed by their supervisor. + Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. + Must self-inspect their products to maintain quality and quantity standards. + Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains proper care of equipment. + Must perform any other duties as assigned by their supervisor. + Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities **Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:** + High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. + Manufacturing/production experience desired but not required. + Forklift operation experience desired but not required. **Physical Demands:** _(The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
