Role: Sr Performance Test Engineer Engineer
Location: Lisle, IL
Work Arrangement: Hybrid 4 days in office, 1 day remote
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute performance tests using NeoLoad to validate scalability, throughput, and stability of applications.
Perform workload modeling, test script creation, correlation, and parameterization for large-scale performance scenarios.
Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for tuning.
Contribute to functional test automation using Tricentis Tosca (UI, API, regression).
Integrate both performance and functional test executions into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
Maintain and catalog test cases in qTest, ensuring traceability and effective reporting.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure continuous performance validation throughout the release cycle.
Provide detailed performance and automation reports to stakeholders and recommend improvements.
Mentor junior engineers on performance testing best practices and Tosca automation usage.
Required Qualifications
12+ years of professional QA/testing experience, with at least 6+ years in performance testing.
Strong hands-on experience with NeoLoad (test design, monitoring, and results analysis).
Proven expertise in functional automation with Tricentis Tosca.
Hands-on experience integrating performance and functional testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with qTest for test case management and cataloging.
Strong analytical skills to identify performance bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Willingness to work 4 days per week onsite.
Preferred Skills
Tricentis certifications (Tosca, NeoLoad and Qtest).
Coding experience with Tricentis application is mandatory
Familiarity with APM tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, or equivalent) for root cause analysis.
Scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Groovy) for automation customization.
Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and performance testing in cloud-native architectures.
Understanding service virtualization and test data management.
