Job Description

Point Seven, Coral Omakase, and Bento by Point Seven is hiring for talented Sushi Chefs to join the team. Work under the esteemed Robby Cook -- Masaharu Morimoto's right hand man for over a decade -- in an environment sourcing some of the finest fish from Toyosu market in Japan, in a beautiful, energetic setting. 

We need part time and full time employees to work at our raw bar sushi counter within the Point Seven dining room, produce lunch time sushi for our dining room through Bento by Point Seven, and work within the intimate, 17 course Omakase tasting menu at Coral Omakase. All talent is welcome. 

SUSHI CHEF:

• Knowledgeable of all Japanese fish & high quality seafoods, including fabrication, preparation & storage
• Experience in all sushi preparations, including sushi, sashimi, & maki
• Superior knife skills with ability to create aesthetically pleasing presentations with artistic balance & consistency 
• Possibly able to help on the retail side if needed
• Salary based on experience & skill levels

RETAIL SUSHI CHEF:

Ability to follow exact recipes & procedures for all items that come from Sushi Retail including Sushi, Sashimi, Maki, Chirashi, Don Buri, Poke style or Crudos

• Ability to perform a variety of fish fabrication, sushi rice making, as well as vegetable prep for sushi bar

• Assist in the Omakase experience, fish preparations, making sushi rice, miso soup, grilled or hot dishes coming from the back, tamago/ egg prep, assist in serving dishes

SUSHI PREP COOK:

Basic fish & Japanese food knowledge

• Strong knife skills
• Fish cleaning & fabrication 
• Vegetable preparation 
• Washing & preparing sushi rice
• Making miso soup
• Sushi Bar Set up
• Assist sushi chefs when needed
